How long should we spend in the attraction?

We recommend allowing approximately one and a half hours at Manly SEA LIFE Sanctuary.

Where can we have lunch?

There are no café facilities at Manly SEA LIFE Sanctuary, however if are looking for an area to sit to eat lunch, we have Manly Cove next door, as well as tabled areas nearby. If you are looking to purchase a lunch option, we offer a $15 lunch package per student & per teacher that includes entry to Manly SEA LIFE Sanctuary as well as a meal at Manly Ocean Foods, which is Manly's most famous fish and chip shop. Manly Ocean Foods is a 10 minute walk from Manly SEA LIFE Sanctuary. 

Can we pay on the day?

Payment cannot be made on the day. Payment is made in advance by school cheque or credit card. Students cannot pay individually.

Where can we park the coach?

Coach parking is available on West Esplanade and on Commonwealth Parade, both of which are within walking distance to Manly SEA LIFE Sanctuary. For more information please contact Manly Council on (02) 9976 1500.

What is your student to teacher free ratio?

Manly SEA LIFE Sanctuary provides free admission to teachers and adults supervising student groups at the following ratios:

  • Preschool (4+) 1:3
  • K-2 students: 1:6
  • Year 3-12 students: 1:8
  • Disabled students: 1:1

 

Additional adults are welcome to visit for $16.00 per person.

What methods of payments are there?

Payment is made in advance by school cheque or credit card. Students cannot pay individually and payment cannot be made on the day. For more information or to make a booking, please contact us on 1800 199 742 or email msls@merlinentertainments.com.au.

Can we bring our own food?

Manly SEA LIFE Sanctuary does not have café facilities, so we recommend you bring your own food and eat it at one of the locations mentioned above.

Is it compulsory to have a Marine Education Officer?

No, it is not compulsory to have a Marine Education Officer, however free guided tours by Marine Education Officers are available for groups over 35 students, and we highly recommend schools take advantage of this great offer.  Our Marine Education Officers are well-trained and highly passionate about marine life and its educational relevance and will enhance your students visit.
